People Centered Development

The most important asset in any business is its people. Especially leadership at all levels. Often, we engage with organizations that do not prioritize or have problems with the development and empowerment of their management. This is a huge issue! Not only are companies losing hundreds of billions of dollars each year because of inefficient and poor management, but they are also missing out on accelerating the achievement of strategic directives and initiatives. In today’s rapidly changing world, this inefficiency in leadership can translate into loss of competitiveness in the market, issues remaining relevant, stifled constant improvement and innovation, and/or a loss of stakeholder confidence.

Our core team has spent the last 30 years evaluating excellent management within many different industries and cultures. During this process, we have distilled and articulated the common key leadership elements that are transferable through proper coaching. We have discovered successful leaders have intentionally developed patterns and routines that allow them to foster the skills and innovative potential that each member of their team inherently possesses. This people centered focus and development naturally expels issues that companies face with leadership and empowers management to manage differently. By coaching and developing leaders, we have been able to assist clients (both private and public corporations) in the accomplishment of some truly remarkable challenges and strategic objectives.

Our coaching remains highly effective by teaching individuals and teams to develop new patterns, routines, mindsets and behaviors in parallel to establishing intimate knowledge of vital operational tools. We utilize four unique development platforms, listed below, that help us achieve this leadership transformation.

Our tailored Lean SME Certification curriculum is designed to provide an in-depth training of the lean business system disciplines and tools. This certification process consists of a comprehensive set of elements, rules, systems and tools that focus on driving value and constant improvements. Students will split time between classroom work and actual lean deployment within their own functions and processes. For the entirety of this certification, there will be coaches guiding the learning and application. This coaching and learning strategy gives the students a chance to apply what they learn as well as achieve an immediate ROI for the business.

We have found front-line leadership to be one of the toughest positions in any organization. Furthermore, it is also one of the positions that typically gets forgotten in the development process. Our interactive live simulation provides hands on interaction with lean tools and systems. This unique workshop is set-up as a simulated manufacturing environment and business where participants will go through several rounds of traditional manufacturing.

The students will then have an opportunity to go through several improvement rounds. During these improvement rounds, students will apply the lean tools to their simulated business. Each round is measured using an income statement. Therefore, the participants will gain an understanding of the impact lean can have on the improvement and profitability of the business.

Once the students complete the 5-day workshop, they will be sponsored (through a charter) by their manager to apply/install one of the tools of lean in their organization in an appropriate process and area. During this application, a W3 Group Sensei will coach the student so any failure or misuse of the tool, is quickly corrected. The immediate feedback puts the students into an ideal learning environment.

One of the largest voids we see in companies, is the lack of experience, patterns, routines and standardization within the daily activities of process owners/leaders. Common pitfalls:
